More baby gift sets

here are a few more baby gift sets that i made for my upcoming purse party.

1568

this first set is one of my absolute FAVORITES!! the pink dahlia fabric has always been a customer favorite! i decided to use a kimono top instead of a regular onesie, and also threw in the normal bib, and burp cloth!

this birdie tales set is another goodie i found at Joann's. it is part of Debbie Mumm's fabric collection. this set includes a large chenille baby blanket, a sensory blanket, bib, and two burp cloths!

this last set is perfect as a baby shower gift! it includes a purse for mom, 2 burp cloths, a sensory blanket, and a bib!

(if any of these are left after the purse party, they will go into my etsy shop!)

Win a quilt!

not mine though! i've never made a real quilt before. the closest i've ever gotten were these baby shower quilts i made for my sister, but it wasn't really a quilt, just panels sewed together! i'd love to learn how to do the swirly designs, but i just haven't had a chance to figure it out! a friend recently got in touch wanting some insight on quilt making..too bad, i really couldn't help her too much on that end! but, it's triggered a new need to learn in me! i'm a big fan of Sandi Henderson's blog and saw her posting for a quilt giveaway from Old Red Barn Co's blog.

seriously...how perfect is that quilt?!!! it's made from the ginger blossom collection, and the backing is a vintage sheet! i can't even imagine working on something like that, let alone giving it away!! go to Old Red Barn Co's blog and enter to win on herĀ  giveaway!!

My first swap!

as i had mentioned in an earlier post i was emailed a while back by someone who was looking for a good home for her old issues of Craft and Adorn magazines. (really...she was soooo incredibly generous, and i'm so lucky to have come in contact with her!!!) we decided that in exchange for the magazines i'd make her a Kimberly bag. the hardest part was trying to decide which fabric to use! i finally settled on Sandi Henderson's tortoise plaid breeze. it's something i bought a while back but hadn't cut into yet because i didn't know what purse to make out of it!! the good news is i had enough for the swap, AND enough to make one more (which of course i haven't yet, but that is the plan!) the inside is just a solid brown, but i did add some little beads to the zipper pull ( my little cousin said she wished the zipper was slightly larger when i gave her her bags, so i thought the beads could dress the purse up a little and help with pulling on the zipper!)

and in return these are all the goodies i got!!! (they even came wrapped up so cute-i looooved the flower!) it's been such a week, i've hardly had a chance to really go through them all, but i have been able to skim and i like what i see!!! i'm so excited! this week has been a great week for mail!! first the marie claire idees, now this!! :)
