Rainy Rain Go Away…

it has been raining since sunday!! i think it's finally about to clear up and get sunny again- thank goodness! but i've been able to catch up on some orders and get some more stuff done! nothing new, but thought i'd post them so you all can see!

more cuddly taggie blankets:

soft and cuddly burp cloths (i'm not sure what the name of this material is. it's the same that i make the cuddly taggie blankets with. i think i've seen it posted as minky, but i still don't know if thats the proper term for that type of fabric!)

and another applique t-shirt with the lollipop trees...my other sister was feeling left out so i had to make her one too!

Chenille Burp Cloths and Flannel Lined Bibs

i also ended up making my sister more burp cloths and bibs over the weekend. i was going through one of her baby catalogs and saw the chenille burp pads that i thought were very pretty, but of course too over priced! i think the company was selling the burp cloths with a matching bib for $30 or so...these are definitely easy enough that you could make a bunch load for that amount!

the burp cloth turned out really nice, as well as the bibs! the burp cloths are chenille on one side, and flannel on the other. the bibs are lined with flannel, and the opposite side is a fun cotton print. when i gave them to my sister she really liked them but thought they were too fancy and worried that they would get stained and whatnot. so i think when i make more i might buy the iron on vinyl so that the cotton side can be easily wiped and will have that stain resistance to them, and the other side can be for decorative wearing. i've never used the iron-on vinyl, so if anyone has any thoughts on this please let me know! i did have a pattern for something that recommended the vinyl, but i thought it would've made the project look cheap so i went without it, and i have to say that finished project turned out much better than i expected! (more on that project later!) :)
