i can’t believe i forgot to post these bags! these were both birthday presents for my sisters back in May and June!! i can’t get enough of Tina Givens’ Fairy Tiptoes line and Amy Butler’s Lacework print is and has always been one of my favorite!
this was the first (and only) Multi-tasker Tote that i’ve made by Anna Maria Horner. i knew it was perfect for my sister’s birthday back in May because she loves tote bags! since i didn’t have a lot of the Fairy Tip Toes fabric i decided to make the lining a solid cream…next time i’ll know better and make sure i have enough lining just so that the part that folds over will match with the pockets! the pattern was fairly easy to read, there were only a few problems i had with the pattern (since i made it so long ago i can’t remember which part i had problems with…im thinking it had something to do with the pockets though…) i have some of Heather Bailey’s Freshcut fabric that i think will look really cute in this style too!!
when my other sister’s birthday rolled around in June she had mentioned how much she liked the combination and wanted something made from it as well! i decided to make her another messenger bag since she uses one for work all the time- she’s a picky person and likes what she likes, so i figured why mess up a good thing-who cares if she has 2 of the same style bags right? (i had originally made her a messenger bag for Christmas too!)
both of these bags have gotten tons of compliments so i’m hoping to make a few more for gifts since the holiday season will be around the corner before you know it!!
