you know that saying, where you need a vacation from your vacation? that’s how i feel! Vancouver was TONS of fun- every time i go there i don’t want to come back! it was hubby’s first time there and i think i’ve convinced him it’s more fun than our FAV spot, San Diego!!
both my sisters and their families also went along, and we have family there, so the week was definitely filled with lots to do!
my aunt and uncle live in Yaletown, so we walked around that area a lot…hopped on the Aqua bus and headed to Granville Island for some lunch and listened to some local artists (there was a kid, probably no more than 15 years old that sounded amazing!! got to hear him while we sat around and ate gelato!) by the way, if you’ve never been to Granville Island, you’re missing out! the Public Market has SO MUCH fresh goodies!! i saw grapes, seriously the size of golf balls!!!
i had tons of fun shopping on Robson Street (probably didn’t need half the stuff i bought!) and hubby and i ate at this Greek restaurant that had the BEST pizza- i think the cheese on it was full fat because i’ve never tasted a pizza so rich and yummy before in my life!! there were grape vines growing in front of the restaurant and this picture i took of some grapes are one of my favorite photos from the trip!
we also headed to Whistler and Stanley Park, which were both lots of fun! did the Peak to Peak Gondola rides, and the views from the top were AMAZING!!!
so that was our trip! we took over 600 pics, so i tried not to overwhelm you with too much! the trip was definitely worth the wait!! (we had planned this trip for over a year!) however…halfway through the trip we got word back home that my mom was taken into the hospital. she had emergency surgery and was in the hospital for over a week! she finally got discharged Friday night and will be staying with me for the next few weeks while she recuperates! hopefully, knock on wood, no more trips to the hospital for mom the rest of the year!! (she was in for a minor stroke back in February! i think two trips in one year is PLENTY!!)
