i received these two books a few weeks ago when my good friend and i did an early christmas exchange. (the next several days of posts are probably all going to be me sharing my christmas goodies…and boy do i have a lot! my family was very generous to me this year!)
i’d been wanting to get back into crocheting forĀ a while. i learned how to crochet early on as a child- never made anything fancy, and barely know how to make a granny square! (it’s more like a granny circle when i try!!) when i got my wisdom teeth pulled a few months back i tried to finish a throw for the living room couch (see that heathered truffle colored thing in the basket? yeah…i actually probably started that almost a year ago, but once i got my sewing machine all crocheting stopped!) but, when i got Bag Style and Creepy Cute Crochet i told myself that i couldn’t start any projects from it untill i finished that darn blanket!
Bag Style is a great book and i was so motivated as i was flipping through it! it has bags designed for knitting, crocheting, and felting. i used to know how to knit! now i’m tempted to take a class because there are some really cute bag ideas in this book and more than anything i’d love to learn how to knit socks!! (if you saw how many pairs of socks my husband can go through in a season, learning to knit them would probably save me a ton of money!)
Creepy Cute Crochet is really cute too! the not so hidden agenda upon receiving this book was that my friend said she wanted me to make her baby a few of these little monsters! not a problem, Gloria!
oh and by the way…i finished the throw!
