Weekend Ramblings
this weekend has been an interesting one to say the least! i'm still recovering from my wisdom teeth extraction. (seriously. no fun!) i've decided to stop taking vicodin during the day, and only at night because it was doing weird things and making me feel more horrible than i already felt! how people become addicted i don't understand! i've got a total of about 5 medications i need to take, so i don't think those on top of all the painkillers really help because i've never been used to medicating myself that much!! (and i totally ever take back saying that i want to try and have natural childbirth because i really don't think i could handle THAT pain!!) i thought i'd be able to have more solid type foods by now, but it's not looking like i can! my jaw is still very stiff (the doctor did say that day three was the worse it would be at, but i'm really thinking, maybe day four!) i never thought i'd say it, but i think i'm sick of ice cream!! i think i've dropped seven pounds already! i've already given my husband a list of all places we have to go eat once i can!
since the drugs have made me somewhat lightheaded and nauseous, i haven't gotten as much sewing as i thought i would on my few days off! instead of drowning myself in horrible television, i started back up on crocheting. i actually had started this throw last year! needless to say, once i got my sewing machine, it got tossed to the side! it's nothing fancy, just a simple throw that will match one of our couches! hopefully i'll get this done by the end of the week!
and lastly, i was able to finish one project before my surgery! as i had mentioned, i've been making lots of baby blankets! one of my old co-workers has probably sent me about 6 orders within the last few months! (talk about baby boom!) and she even called yesterday to place ANOTHER order! and of course, every single one of them has been for a boy! i've had a thing for owls lately...why it's so hard to find any fun owl prints is beyond me! but i did snag this one (from joann's no less) and made this up for her!
