Zamboni not required!
we ended up having my nephews for the weekend again while my sister and her husband were away for a wedding. they were definitely more exhausting this weekend than they have been in the past, but i also think it was because we had so many plans lined up! so in addition to seeing Wall-E (pretty cute!), and some pool time, it was also my 3 yr old nephews last ice skating class. he passed his class 3 weeks early, so i think this last class he just had tons of fun because he had so much confidence in himself skating alone. it was cute watching him skate back and forth, but i think mostly he likes to make “snow” with his skates! after class finished my husband and i decided to take him and his brother into the skate shop just too look around. we found some cheaper wooden sticks but they were way to big for the both of them, and luckily the guy working there said he could cut them down to the height we needed! the boys were thrilled! we grabbed a roller hockey ball, and went home to tape the sticks up!
the boys already look the part of hockey players!
both of riley’s two front teeth just fell out!
and braden’s gash on his forehead is just starting to heal!
we headed out to the common area and onto the basketball courts to play! (don’t mind the grass- can you believe how dry it’s been here! the grass is coarse and the worst possible brown color you can imagine!)
the first stand-off:
and of course tons of fun playing! (sometimes it just looks like the boys are trying to golf!)
