Reusable Shopping Totes

June 30th, 2008 by natalie

i finally figured out what to do with the rest of the fabrics from ikea! since i had so much of that black print and had such a hard time trying to figure out what bags to make with it, i decided to make reusable shopping totes out of the remaining fabric! i also made some little key chains to hang on the straps that say, “reuse, reduce, recyle” out of the printable shrinky dinks.

i was also able to snag some denim at joann’s this weekend. i was trying to find some outdoor decorator material that i liked, but for some reason there wasn’t a whole lot that called out to me, and of course, the one time i check it out, it’s not on sale! i came across the clearance section and they had denim on sale for $5 a yard! i figured the denim would be sturdy enough and it would be universal enough to add whatever fabric i wanted to it! so i decided to get a few yards of the denim and then decided i’d add my fun lollipop trees to the bags! these are the small and medium sized grocery sacks!
