i had always known that Ikea carried fabrics, but you can’t purchase them online, and i can’t even remember the last time i’ve been there! the closest ones are both about an hour away! when my friend called me the other day she happened to call from the mall and told me there were a bunch of cute fabrics and offered to pick me up some! since i had already bought a bunch load at the store just a day earlier, i told her to only pick up $20 worth! figured that’d probably be about 3 yards worth to keep me busy! well, imagine my surprise when she told me she spent $50 and got about 6 yards!

these are definitely a lot funkier than my traditional bird/flower/tile prints! since the prints are a lot larger, i have to find larger bags to make with them! i love the black and red heart print, and was thinking of making that into a diaper bag! my friend loves the black circle print (she got 3 yards of it alone!) so she said as payment i’d only have to make her some bags! sounds good to me!

i’ll definitely have to make a trip out to Ikea sometime! there are some prints that i think are super cute! i like the Hjordis collection, and the Patricia collection- especially the tree branches and the circle print!
