one of the first things i sewed when i got my machine last christmas was an oven mitt. simple enough! they’ve made for really great housewarming gifts, especially when you pair it with a fun cookbook or something!
for some reason our oven mitts keep disappearing. we only had two to begin with, then i made one around christmas time with some holiday fabric, and that one disappeared too! so we are down to the one and it’s getting really yucky so i figured i’d treat my kitchen to another homemade one! i found some remnants at the store that were a breast cancer awareness fabric that i really liked. i’m all for supporting the cause so i was excited when i found the fabric scraps and figured it would be perfect for my oven mitt! i also added a little loopy thing, but i think it might be on the wrong side? who knows!
