my sister had gone to dinner a few weeks back with some of her girlfriends and of course she decided to be a walking advertisement for me! she sported one of the applique t-shirts i made her as well as carried the hobo bag i made her! one of the girls had mentioned how her daughter liked carrying purses and so my sister asked me if i could make her a little handbag for her birthday. mind you her daughter will be turning four! you can never start too early!

in any event i managed to make up a little purse pattern that would be cute, yet big enough to carry anything she may want in it! it’s modeled after a small Coach tote bag that i have, that i love using in the summertime! i also added a little name key tag for her as well. she wanted lots of pockets on the inside so there are pockets all around! i love the design of the bag and am going to make a grown up version for myself!
