have you ever gone away for the weekend and didn’t really want to go away to begin with even though your last weekend getaway was nearly a year ago? that’s how this weekend was, and i’m just glad to be back home! we went down south to Virginia beach for a friends wedding. hubby was a groomsman and i have to say when one of us is in a wedding party it kind of stinks for the other! but luckily i knew a handful of people so it made it bearable!

i think ever since i saw a Dateline or 20/20 episode about hotel cleaning i’ve been a little nervous to stay in a hotel! we’ve stayed in trendier hotels, and even stayed at the Ritz-Carlton for my birthday a few years back, and unless it’s a more upscale hotel i don’t get so grossed out! granted, i guess it doesn’t really matter how many stars a hotel has, they probably all have the same cleaning techniques! if you’ve never seen an undercover report on hotel cleaning, probably a good idea not too- especially if you travel a lot!!
