Amy Butler Kimberly Bag

this was one of the first bags patterns that i found that i knew i just had to buy! it’s a cute little baguette bag and as much as i love it, i haven’t even had the chance to make one for myself!
when i first sent out an email to my friends about my new blog, my friend, Jan replied a few weeks later saying how she read it everyday! i was so touched because even my family doesn’t remember to go on it!! i’ve known Jan since we were five years old (can you believe we’ve been friends for 22 years?!!), and we kept in touch even when i moved away in elementary school! her birthday was coming up so i knew i had to make her something, afterall she’s probably my most loyal reader!! i decided to make her the Kimberly Bag because spring was approaching and thought it would be perfect for nights out when you don’t want to lug around a large purse! it was a fairly simple bag to make. Amy Butler’s patterns are really easy to follow and there weren’t a ton of pattern pieces to have to cut out, so i was definitely impressed with the purchase! (that is one thing that i dread…cutting out pattern pieces!) i’d love to make the sophia bag but we’ll see! i’ve got a couple other little projects to tackle before i try a bag like that!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAN!!
i wish i had a picture of us when we were younger that i could scan because we probably look exactly the same, yet so different!
