Hobo Bag

April 15th, 2008 by natalie

my husband is probably really excited that i am actually making purses rather than splurging on all the designer ones that i’ve usually done in the past. (oh but honey, fyi, still liking the Coach Hampton signature satchel! and it’s not online anymore, but they might still have it at the store…is all i’m saying… :) and in case you forgot…)

but…back to what i was saying! the best part about spring and summer is all the fun handbags you can have to coordinate with your outfits! i love wearing summer dresses and always try to have a cute bag to match. i found this tutorial a while back and thought i should try it out since it was a free pattern! i love the jcaroline blog because there are always a ton of inspiring projects! i found this fabric in the outdoor home decor section and thought it was really cute. i figured it would be perfect for purse making because it was a little heavier, plus the fact that it was water resistant! i had cut out the fabric pieces a while back but it just ended up sitting on the table for a few weeks before i remembered! so this weekend was filled with making bags and this was one of them! it turned out really cute and now i’m just contemplating how many more i should make!!
