Fabric Decorated Burp Cloths

March 18th, 2008 by natalie

it’s spring break for the kiddies this week so i won’t be getting as many projects finished as i wanted to! i signed up to watch my nephews for a few days to give my sister a break, plus the fact they love coming over here to play with my hubby! no wii this time, but surprisingly we’ve kept ourselves entertained! my other sister ran out with her husband for an appointment, so i’m actually watching her baby (1month old) and my nephews (6 and almost 3) today. everyone thought it would be a mad house but surprisingly, all is quiet!!! the baby is sound asleep and the boys are playing (nicely!) together! i’ve actually got a few minutes to blog!

everyone i know seems to be having babies! i’ve been trying to put together baby baskets of all the essentials and the one thing i really like making is the burp cloths! its super easy to make and buying quarter squares is enough to make three different panels, so it’s really fun to use all sorts of different designs. when my sister was pregnant i ended up making burp pads that had her baby’s name on them in addition to different designs, but everyone i know that’s having a baby now haven’t come up with names yet, or i’m not sure about the sex of the baby, so i figured the panel cloths would be my best bet. adding the fabric panels in the middle of the burp cloths make them so much more fun than having plain old white cloths!
