i finally finished making one of the storage baskets. i got the tutorial here. it was pretty easy to make. i thought the large size would be good to put magazines in underneath the coffee table, but the large ended up being a lot bigger than i expected! so i filled it up with the stuffed animals that are in the kids’ playroom. i’d like to make a few more- i’m hoping to reorganize the laundry room and thought this would be a really great way to spruce the room up a bit and that way all the stuff on the top shelf wouldn’t look so cluttered! i’m also thinking of making some smaller baskets to organize this old bookshelf i have.  the only problem i had making this storage basket was that the heavy-weight stabilizer i got didn’t seem to have enough hold to it. i ended up having to double it up to make the basket more firm, and even then it still seemed a bit flimsy to me.
