so….my hubby and i went car shopping this weekend. we told ourselves we were only looking- there was no need to rush into anything! i’ve had my trusty toyota for ten years now- my one and only car that i got before senior year of hs! and my hubbies car was only about 4 years old (though i have to say, in the four years he’s had his car, he put more work into it alone than i have in ten years! good ol’ FixedOrRepairedDaily car of his!) i SWORE up and down to my sister, we aren’t coming home with a new car! i even bet her lunch! well, needless to say…i owe her lunch! the original deal my hubby and i had was that we’d trade his in first and we’d be able to get two cars for what his car payment was! the first car we drove that we thought we were going to get would have been good enough for me…but then we went to another dealership…just to look. i knew it was a little out of our price range but i still had my eye on it. once we got in and test drove that one, there was no comparison! they were expecting way more than we ever intended to pay and after HOURS of being there, we were ready to walk out, until the sales manager came in and offered us a deal we couldn’t pass up. my hubby was in love with the car. if we got this one, we’d only be able to get the one at this time, and we’d still have my trusty old car that we could run to the ground. he could drive it to work everyday and add the miles to that car, and i’d get to drive the new car once i started watching my niece! after much discussion we decided we could make do with getting only one new car at the time, and we’d wait till summer to get the next. this one had everything we could possibly want in it! i told my hubby it was the perfect mom car for me…minus the fact i wasn’t a mom…YET! i’m still working on that one!

so….we’re very happy new owners of the 2009 murano! woohoo! i love this thing! we spent about an hour sitting in it yesterday morning just setting everything up! my hubby loves it for the geek factor…all those techy things…he was especially excited when he found out there were 9GB built in so we could add our own music. umm, guess thats cool. i’m just excited now we’ll know where we’re going! this way we’ll prob make it into DC more!
