Pencil Pouches
since the weather's been crappy, i actually stayed in ALL day and have been working on projects galore. also decided to get around to taking pictures so that i can finally post them! a friend wanted me to make her a pencil pouch which i did a few weeks ago...i know they're pretty easy to make, but i liked following the instructions i got off the Purl Bee for Mari's Bias Tape Purse with Zipper. instead of just making them one layer, i lined them on the inside so that it wasn't so plain looking (i know, you don't really see the inside of a pencil pouch, and it'll probably just get dirtied up, but still...) i also figured that way it'd get more wear out of them, who knows how long it'd last in her work purse if she's always rummaging around in it!
on a totally different note...i got my purse patterns in the mail yesterday! woohoo! i'm excited to get started on them, but i got a little overwhelmed when i actually opened them up to study the patterns! i think the last time i followed a pattern was in home ec class back in jr. high! that was well over 10 years ago!
