Baby bib and washcloth set
I finally got a bib made with the leftover terry cloth material i had. I decided to just trace an old bib to get the shape that i needed and used some leftover scrap fabric that i had to make the trim. it was a little harder than i thought because of all the curves so it isn’t as smooth of a trim that i would have liked. i bought one of those yo-yo makers to make some embellishments. i originally was going to make the little yo-yo’s into flowers and put cute buttons in the middle of them and have them on the bib somewhere, but then decided against it. (i’m sure mothers are out there going, why would she put buttons on a bib?? what if a baby got a hold of it! i can just hear it now…so that’s one reason i decided against it, even though, i would have made sure that button was sewed on real tight!) i also was going to make the closure a snap button, but had a hard time installing it since it was my first time using the gadget, so it turned out to be a velcro closure instead! i put the yo-yo flower i made on top of the bib; since i had already made it i figured why not put it to use! for my first time making a bib, i guess i’m ok with the outcome of the project, but i think i will search for a template online to see if there’s a better way to make a bib so that i can have a cleaner trim!
